On Sunday, June 24th at 3pm we will welcome author Jim Bailey to the store. Dr. Bailey will be leading a panel of health care experts including Dr. Paula Houston, Director of Healthcare Equity for UW Medicine, and Dr. Tom Staiger, Medical Director of the University of Washington Medical Center, in a discussion about what is really happening in health reform. They will share stories and discuss the main ways Americans can demand and get health care that truly heals.

Jim is a physician and professor of medicine and preventive medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, where he directs the Center for Health System Improvement, cares for the sick, and teaches doctors in training. His research appears in many peer-reviewed medical journals, including JAMA, Journal of General Internal Medicine, and Annals of Internal Medicine. Dr. Bailey has an abiding passion for the classics, medical history, and ethics, and believes that sharing our stories can heal.
