Shipping and Returns

Our longtime customers know that we provided free shipping in the past, but the price of business during COVID-19 has put extra stresses on our postage budget.  Unfortunately, we can no longer offer free shipping, but we still offer a competitive minimum prices on USPS media mail shipping, or USPS priority mail shipping.  

That said:

  • You can order online for in-store pickup—that's still free!
  • Please call or let us know if you have issues coming to the store from Mercer Island, we can arrange special delivery to our Island customers. 

Also please note:  

  • Non-book items do not qualify for USPS Media Mail shipping and will be shipped at US Priority rates.  
  • If you need your items faster, you may choose US Priority Shipping.

As for returns, we're happy to exchange or issue a refund on returned merchandise with your accompanying receipt, as long as the item is something we've sold within the last month and in sellable, unopened condition. Clothing and candy are not returnable. Web orders and other shipments must be physically returned to us before a credit will be made.  Please see our complete website return policy.  eBook and audio sales through our affiliate sites are final and nonrefundable.
